The 30 Minutes of Pizza Delivery !!!


Recently during one of our weekends, we had decided to take food from outside. We zeroed it on Dominos Pizza as it has been a long time we didn't had pizzas. We called Dominos and ordered for the family pack at around 7:30 pm. I was waiting at my Balcony waiting for the Hot Pizza to come. After 15 minutes, i could see the Dominos guy riding a bike at 70s, rushing towards my apartment. He parked his Byke outside the apartment and came to my flat to deliver the pizza. I took the delivery and handed over him the cash. Casually, I was asking him why he was riding at such a high speed in such a narrow road. He told me that it was the Policy that Pizza had to be delivered within 30 minutes of order or else, pizza will have to be given Free to the customer and money will be deducted from his Salary. And that was the reason he was driving at such a high speed. He thanked me and went.


After having the delicious pizza, Me and my wife were discussing about what the Dominos Delivery boy had told us. Whatever be the situation, be it hot/cold, raining/sunny, Winter/summer, Narrow/wide roads......the pizza needs to be delivered in 30 minutes. The delivery boy is paid only when his customer is happy with the pizza ( On time Delivery).

God as the customer, is happy only when we deliver as per the promises. And what is this promise all about. While sending us to this world, He has told us the 10 commandments and asked us to obey/follow these commandments. As Christians/children of God, we are suppose to follow these in all the situations. We do not have any excuses like tiredness, laziness, ignorance etc to put in front of the lord. If we are not following God's policies, God as the customer will be unhappy and you cannot expect the payment (rewards) from him. Moreover, there would be a time when you will have to end your work in this world and go back. At that time, HE will make sure that your Salary (eternal rewards) is reduced and you are prohibited from enjoying the benefits of heaven.

So, let's make sure that we keep up the promises that we make to the Lord. Let's deliver him what we have promised.

Its all about Kids

I used to wonder when my kids ( 4 Year Old , 2 Year Old) play with my smart phone. They would have observed me working on the phone for couple of times and now it looks like they are experts on my phone. How fast are these children getting accustomed to new technologies. This also pointed me to another side of parenting. How fast are these kids picking up from what their parents do. I am sure mobile phones are completely a new entity for a kid. Unless he/she observes and learn, he will not be able to understand the device. Look at their observation power. They grab the thing so fast that even by 50 year old mother struggles for months to study about the same smart phone. How does all these happen ?
