Spiritual Performance Review

It’s been a year in Australia. God has amazingly blessed us throughout the last 1 year. All Glory and Praise to him. One thing that has started changing my life in the past 2 months is being the part of the Emmaus Study Group of Jesus Youth. Though I have been the part of the JY movement for 15+ Years, there hasn’t been a life changing experience as I am going through now as a result of this Study Group. This is a group that meets every Saturday 7-8:30 AM. A group which is filled with all senior JYs who are in the renewal for many years.  In the beginning like every group I was also not sure who long this group is going to sustain as it was done via online medium. But till date, there hasn’t been any dropouts from the group. This shows the great experience that every participant of this group is having. Beyond the Walls..

The recent weekend was packed with lots of fun and activities. Saturday started off with a 10.AM movie at Cinepolis. It had been a long time since we had been to a Hindi movie , so after seeing and hearing the reviews , thought of giving a shot for the Aamir Khan special ' Dangal' . To the core, the movie was worth every penny spend from my pocket to watch it. I really find the kids enjoying every bit and part of the movie in great enthusiasm. Lots of insights into life. The movie had opened up a whole lot of points to ponder at. The final part of the movie was something which I always wanted to recollect.  Even if the coach , the father of Geetha, couldn't be with her in the final moments of her victory, it didn't stop her from getting that success. I think this is a point worth remembering in parenting. Many a times we feel that we need to spoon feed the kids till the end for them to be successful. Holiness cannot be attained alone

Everyday I am thriving for holiness. I need to be holy in my mind, body and soul. I need to demonstrate holiness in whatever I do, wherever I go, whatever I speak and whomsoever I meet. I keep on praying to the Lord to give me this holiness every moment in my life. This has worked almost well. But at times I feel that only prayers are not enough to attain this holiness. There could be something else that is very essential. Jesus fall during the way to calvary was a perfect example on this. Jesus fell down three times but he was supported by people around him. One was mother mary, Either was Joseph of Arimetya, and the third was Veronica. I think this help is required and very essential in my Journey to holiness. We need people around us to help us when we are falling down. This could be our parents, our elders, our spouses, our friends..anyone who can help us in the path of holiness.

Being Pride ...

PRIDE ---- Ah, a mother of all SINS. Whatever SINS you take up, ultimately all would lead to this single sin of PRIDE. It is a long long struggle for me with this SIN. Too difficult to overcome unless I am protected with the power of the SPIRIT. Even though, I wake up in the morning with a desire tom kill this SIN today, but I end up being in this SIN many a times in the day. It could be simple instances like show off, praising yourself, over confident about self, feeling proud of your personal possessions, thinking others as inferior towards you, not considering the feelings of others, being dominant in the conversations and meetings....the list goes endless... And the sad part is that you end up in this SIN without getting noticed. You tell ties, others can find it out. You don't obey your parents, you will be notices. You bribe, you are noticed. But when you feel PRIDE in your heart, it is not notices by anyone. Only the ONE above can see your heart. In that way, this is also...

Its all about Kids

I used to wonder when my kids ( 4 Year Old , 2 Year Old) play with my smart phone. They would have observed me working on the phone for couple of times and now it looks like they are experts on my phone. How fast are these children getting accustomed to new technologies. This also pointed me to another side of parenting. How fast are these kids picking up from what their parents do. I am sure mobile phones are completely a new entity for a kid. Unless he/she observes and learn, he will not be able to understand the device. Look at their observation power. They grab the thing so fast that even by 50 year old mother struggles for months to study about the same smart phone. How does all these happen ? Kids do have tremendous observation skills and most of their learning happens through observing. They keenly observe each and every thing happening around them and it gets stored in their brain very quickly. This is because the brain is very new and all the learning are new learning's...

Blessings Continued

Today, when we are in the season of lent, I would like to share about some of the important blessings in my life. This is about my job at Infosys. Though I  joined this company in the year 2010,things were not good for me. I had a tough time at work . I couldn't find any satisfaction in my job. I was trying hard to change the company. But God really had some other plans for me at Infosys. Three years after my joining at Infosys, I got an opportunity to move into a different role at Infosys. This is one of the prestigious department in the company . I happened to know about this opportunity again through a Jesus Youth. After several rounds of interview , I was selected. My learning's in this group was tremendous. Probably I would have learned so many things in the last 2 years that I haven't learned in the 5 years of my professional life. Prodigal Son - Reloaded One of the most beautiful parables in Holy Bible. I don't think there are any other parables which had described father's love to such a great extend. No words to describe, except AMAZING !!! I had some questions that came to my mind when I meditated on the parable. 1. The son was able to come back to father's love only because he had experienced that love before. How is it possible for someone to come back to that father's love if he/she hasn't ever experienced that in life ? I got the beautiful answer for this. The soul is always in search of God. There is always a thirst for the goodness, Lord. Even if I do not know God, but still my soul will be in search for that ultimately and it will try to reach there. 2.
