Today during the morning mass at church , during the reading and the subsequent speech by the father, he was explaining the appearance of Jesus to his disciples for the third time. It was few days after the ascension of Jesus, his 11 disciples were sitting around . Suddenly, Peter told the rest of the group that he is going for Fishing again. Rest all of them joined him. They were in the sea all through the night and still they couldn't even get a single Fish. When it was dawn , Jesus came to them and asked them to put the Fishing net at the right hand side of the boat. Suddenly, the net was filled with Fish and they understood that it was Jesus. When they were reaching the shore, Jesus was already there preparing breakfast for them. He asked them to bring the few Fresh Catch they got in the morning. They had the breakfast together.
Some thoughts based on this.
1. Jesus had initially called the disciples to be his followers and to preach his kingdom. But , now Peter has gone back to his old work of Fishing. This brings us to the thought that when you start feeling that Jesus is not there with you, or you are not living with him you tend to go back to your old ways of living. You are being called by Jesus to lead a life for his Kingdom. But when you go back to your Old ways of living ( The life you had before you experienced Jesus ), you cannot remain as a true disciple of Jesus.
2. They tried all through the night, but couldn't get a single Fish. This is what that will happen when you are away from Jesus. Whatever effort you will put in, but still you will not be able to get the reward for the efforts that you give. Walking with Jesus, only will give you the fruits for your had work that you do.
3. When Jesus came and asked them to put the Net, the net was filled with Fish. This is what happens to the people who walk with him. He will double and triple the rewards for the effort that you will put in
4. Jesus is coming into their life when it was dawn. Jesus will also come into our life when it is dawn in our life. He will come only when you are put from your darkness or when you start having faith in him. The dawn symbolizes the new beginning. When you start looking for a new beginning, you can find Jesus there in your waiting for you
5. Jesus had asked them to bring the new Fish for the breakfast. This is to show the new beginning with the Christ. Wi.th Lord, every thing is new for you.
6. It was told that they received 153 Fishes. 153 represents all the different varieties of Fish in the Lake. Jesus had given them all the varieties of Fish. This is what happens when you walk with him. He will fill you with abundance not only for what u had asked for but also for those you never even thought for.
